Golf Vacation Versus Spa Vacation AKA The Great Gender Vacation Battle
Sometimes men and women will go on vacation not with their better half but rather with friends. In some cases these vacations were an annual tradition long before anyone in the group decided to get married so they maintain these once a year rituals as a way of maintaining their own feeling of individuality.
While everyone will enjoy a family vacation or a Disney vacation, there are large differences between the way that groups of men go on a vacation and the way groups of women go on vacation. Inevitably men will go on a golf vacation and women will go on what is called a spa vacation. The genesis of these vacations can be traced way back to when the women were girls and the men were little boys. In reality the bodies may grow up and they may take on more responsibility but the fact is that what is deep down rarely ever changes.
A golf vacation is a guy’s getaway. It is a chance for guys to play a lot of golf, drink a lot of alcohol, and get in a lot of trouble. This isn’t much different from building secret clubhouses that the girls are not allowed in, playing football in an open field, and running from the police after using gasoline to start what has to be the biggest bonfire any of them had every seen.
Little boys love to get dirty and a golf vacation is just another way for boys to play in the dirt and try to get in trouble. Of course it is hoped that the married men are avoiding the temptations of chasing women around a golf resort but if you live by the saying that boys will be boys then that is all part of a golf vacation.

For the most part most girls spend their lives dreaming of big weddings, a bubble bath at night, and playing with Barbie dolls pretending they are someone they are not. A golf vacation would certainly not work for women and that is why they usually head off to a resort that will pamper and cater to them. It is a week of mud masks, whirlpool baths, and elegant drinks down by the beach. Unlike a golf vacation however it is almost expected that women will catcall the guys by the beach and just giggle a lot general.
You can call these generalizations what you want but for the most part every fantasy television series ever created is based on these types of vacations. Guys prefer the golf vacation and women prefer the spa resorts. It is all part of those things that make women and men different and the very essence of what makes the world go around.
